FAQ

What’s a fanzine? A fanzine is an unofficial collection of fan works including fanart and fanfiction based on a preexisting work.What type of content will be featured in the zine? The theme of the zine is general, so no AUs, ships, or crossovers are allowed. All content submitted should also be PG-16 at most. Canon-level depictions of violence and darker themes are permitted.Is there an age limit for contributors and moderators? Yes, all contributors and moderators must be at least 18 years old.Do you need prior zine experience to apply? No, zine experience is not necessary and will not affect your application.Can I apply for more than one role? Yes! You can apply for more than one role, but please note that you will only be selected for one of them.How will the contributors be compensated? All contributors are guaranteed a PDF copy of the zine and all digital merch.Will contributors be allowed to collaborate? Yes, they are! Writers may choose to collaborate with spot artists on their piece(s).How many contributors are you planning on having? We plan to accept between 30-35 contributors, across artists, merch artists, writers, and alternative content creators (e.g. cosplayers, chefs, etc.). The exact number and distribution of creators will depend on our interest check results and contributor applications.Will there be pinch hitters/fill-in/backup creators? Yes! Applicants can indicate in the application form if they would like to be a pinch hitter for the zine. Pinch hitters are creators who may be called in if there is a creator who drops out from the project during the creation period.What is the creation process like? Upon acceptance, contributors will have to pitch several ideas to the mod team. Ideas approved by the mod team will be the ones which contributors will create. There will be regular progress check-ins each month, to ensure that contributors are on track to complete their piece(s) by the end of the creation period.Other inquiries can be directed to our DMs on Twitter, tumblr, or to our email. Guidelines

Contributor Submission Guidelines
• PAGE ART: Canvas size: 300 DPI, CMYK, A5. Template will be provided,
• MERCH ART: Template will be provided
• FIC: 1.5-2.5k wordsGeneral Application Guidelines• You can apply for more than one role, but please note that you will only be selected for one of them.
Contributors must be at 18+ by the time contributor applications end.
• Anyone found to be underaged will result in being removed from the project at any time.
• Applicants and contributors may not submit work of any kind that involves AI assistance. Any found use of AI will result in being removed from the project at any time.
• Please make sure that all links provided are public and require no permission to view. The mod team will not reach out to the applicant. You can double check your links by using incognito mode.
• All samples must not be rated higher than Teen as this project is strictly SFW.
• Any failure to abide by the guidelines will result in your applicant being rejected.Artist App Guidelines• Must provide THREE (3) of your best individual samples via links.
WB pieces are not mandatory, but it's highly encouraged!
• You may provide a portfolio of your work. This can also be a social media link (i.e. Instagram, Twitter).
• Make sure to tag your samples with the appropriate trigger and content warnings!Writer App Guidelines• You may apply as a fic writer (1.5-2.5k words), epistolary writer (750-1.5k words), and/or poet (up to 250 words). For each type, you must submit three (3) samples that best reflect that type.
• Inability to provide samples for any is an automatic no.
• Must provide THREE (3) of your best individual samples via links.
WB pieces are not mandatory, but it's highly encouraged!
• You may provide a portfolio of your work. This can also be a social media link (i.e. Instagram, Twitter).
Make sure to tag your samples with the appropriate trigger and content warnings!Merch & Alt Artist App Guidelines• You may apply for merch artist and/or alt artist. For each type, you must submit three (3) samples that best reflect that type.
• Inability to provide samples for any is an automatic no.
• Alt art include music, cosplay, recipes, and more! Surprise us!
